A memorandum of understanding on co-operation between the Foreign Service Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and China Foreign Affairs University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China was signed in Beijing, the Chinese media reported on Wednesday. Ambassador of Pakistan Masood Khalid and Qin Yaqing, president of China Foreign Affairs University signed the memorandum.

Ambassador Masood Khalid said that this memorandum is the right framework to further enhance cooperation in joint research projects, academic exchanges and training of students. He said that both countries are already collaborating in fields of energy, infrastructure, industrial zones and development of Gwadar Port under the umbrella of China Pakistan Economic Corridor and this MoU shall extend this cooperation to the fields of education and research as well. Qin Yaqing said that this collaboration is all important and special attention is given to the promising Pakistani students. He envisaged greater heights for the deep rooted relations between the two institutions.
